The company which operates the London Overground train service has signed a deal with Wi-Fi provider, The Cloud, to enable passengers to use the internet for free while commuting.

The contract will allow passengers one hour of free Wi-Fi per day at any station on the network. (This includes all 56 London Overground stations).

This project will begin in the summer and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Major stations will have priority over who gets Wi-Fi installed first, and so, if you're planning on using any of the following links, you are in luck:

• Willesden Junction and West Hampstead in north London.

• New Cross Gate, Forest Hill, West Croydon and Norwood Junction in south London.

• Surrey Quays, Dalston, Wapping and Hackney Central in east London.

• Kensington Olympia and Shepherd's Bush in west London.
